Families Challenges
Sports teams and Business Teams are comprised of members of family
units.
Within the family there are so many dynamic moving
parts with personalities, developmental stages of the children, outside and
inside stressors with the spouse's careers and other responsibilities of aging
parents and uncertain economic times.
The same technology used for the Sports and
Business programs is extended to the family members.
B.E.S.T. helps to bring clarification to the
nagging questions of:
- Is this normal or
is something out of balance in my brain or my child's brain?
- Is there something causing my
child's impulsivity?
- Is there something I can do to
bring my child to a more age appropriate stage in his development like
other friends their age?
- How can I or my child perform
at their best?
- Is there something going on
inside me that I could change that causes my mind to race and not sleep
well?
- Why am I not able to handle the
same stressors that I use to?
- Where did my creativity go?
- Why do I spend so much time
worrying instead of doing something about my circumstances?
- Where did my memory go?
- What is going on to make me
feel so helpless and in despair?
B.E.S.T. assessments are non
invasive. They measure brain wave activity and where the brain may be holding on to electrical activity and not releasing it to the rest of the brain. They measure auditory processing and the effects it may have on the rest of the central nervous system. This may include the emotional regulation system. The assessments are reviewed to identify the treatment protocols. The brain will balance itself given the right feedback. When appropriate, the client will be referred to an MD for additional testing.
Protocols are developed to bring stability to
brain processing functions. Some of the areas that have benefitted by the
process are:
- Anxiety
- Addictions
- Memory
- Focus and Attention
- Motivation
- Decision Making
- Promoting Self Esteem
- Interpersonal communication
- Problem solving
- Productive Stress Management
- Socialization
- Cognitive Development
